Animal Crossing Article, page1: Tom Enslaves Immigrants. Tom Nook, local shop owner, recently forced another uniwitting immigrant into servitude.
Animal Crossing Article, page2: Tom's MOD is to offer the new resident seemingly free housing, only to demand payment from the now standed victim
Animal Crossing Article, page3: The amount demanded by Nook is far above market price, even though the abode itself is often a burnt out wooden shack.
Animal Crossing Article, page4: The victim is then forced to work for Tom in order to pay off the dwelling, though he has yet to pay out any sum of money.
