Retro Game Night
As a kid growing up in the 80s, there was a video arcade at the local mall, called “Aladdin’s Castle.” On Friday nights, just before the mall closed at 10pm, Aladdin’s had a special deal where you could stay at the arcade and play as many games as you liked until midnight, for $5. The poor arcade attendant worked overtime opening up the coin tray to give me and my brothers more credits.
Retro game night felt like being at the Aladdin’s Special all over again. Set up with a couple of friends, we had over a half-dozen game systems and hundreds of games at our disposal. And cheesy 80’s music. I’ll post video clips of Retro Game Night later.
Highlights of the Night:
- Massive sessions of Fast Food, Dragonfire, and Warlords on the Atari 2600, and Ghostbusters on the C-64
- Watching J-Nas play Fast Food
- Mark yelling “Wu Tang” while playing Super Mario World on SNES
- Everyone singing along with the C-64 Ghostbusters music. Yeeah…

It really did kick an incredible amount of ass. And we only played about 1/112th of what we had available… :P THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
